Who are we?
Weybridge WI re-launched in January 2016. We are a varied array of women from different backgrounds all finding things in which we take common joy.
Where are we?
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 8pm to 10pm at the Weybridge Centre, Churchfield Road, Weybridge KT13 8DB (just off of Weybridge High Street).
Guests are always welcome, so if you’d like to find out more about Weybridge WI please come along. Tea, coffee and biscuits (and sometimes cake) are always available!
What do we do?
We have a fantastic programme for our monthly meetings throughout 2019 including: learning how to be more mindful, a self-defense introduction evening, a sneak peek at the art of bee keeping, a cheese tasting evening, and a very funny night of cheerleading! Take a look at our 2019 Programme for more details.
We also have a number of special interest groups that meet outside of the monthly meeting and offer something for everyone – from Bakers to Bridge Players, Crafters to Gardeners, and Photographers to Social Butterflies.
See our Groups post for further information.
In addition to this, we arrange outings and events throughout the year. Previous years have seen a trip to the Bombay Saphire Distillery, a Curry night with food and entertainment, and a number of theater trips.
On top of this there are also opportunities to get involved with activities and events in support of our chosen charity. The charity for which we are fundraising this year is Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, as voted on our 2018 November meeting.
Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is a patient-led charity that delivers specialist palliative care to people who have advanced life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their carers and families.
Weybridge Womens Institute is a registered charity. Registration No. 1176986
